The Seven Feasts of the LORD
Typify Prophetic Events
Punctuated by Signs in Heaven

Luke 21:11, 25-26, 28: "And great ... signs shall there be from heaven. ... And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Menís hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: ... And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

Acts 2:19-21: "And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

End time signs in the heavens punctuate prophetic events that occurred in 1948 with the re-establishment of Israel and in 1967 with the Six day War and the restoration of Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel. These signs were four blood moons (4 lunar eclipses) in 2 consecutive years on Passover and Tabernacles, the first and last of the 7 feasts of the LORD. Four blood moons in 2 years in a row like this are called a tetrad. These two tetrads draw our attention to the 7 prophetic feasts of the LORD (Lev. 23).

The account of God creating the sun, moon and stars is recorded in Genesis 1 and the account of God giving the 7 Feasts to Israel is recorded in Leviticus 23:

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS, and for SEASONS, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day." (Genesis 1:14-19)

"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. ... These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their SEASONS." (Leviticus 23:1-2, 4)

The Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the first 3 feasts, Passover, Unleavened Bread and First fruits which symbolized His death, burial and resurrection. Jesus is the sinless Passover Lamb of God who was sacrificed for us.

He gave His sinless blood: "... Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29) "... For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." (1 Corinthians 5:7) "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (1 Peter 1:18-19)

The Lord used unleavened bread as a symbol of His sinless body on Passover eve: "... Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body ... which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me." (Matthew 26:26; Luke 22:19) "And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin." (1 John 3:5) "Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth. ... For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh ..." (1 Peter 2:22, 3:18)

Leaven is a type of sin. Unlike others, Jesus was sinless, but He warned us of the leaven of hypocrisy, false doctrine, malice and wickedness: "... Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy." (Luke 12:1) "... the leaven ... of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees." (Matthew 16:12) "... the leaven of malice and wickedness ..." (1 Corinthians 5:8)

"... Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christís at his coming. Then cometh the end ..."

These first three "Feasts of the LORD" were fulfilled to the day by the Lord Jesus Christ at His first coming. After these comes Pentecost which represents this present Age: Leviticus 23 describes the 4th Feast:

"Even unto the morrow [1 day] after the seventh sabbath [49 days] shall ye number fifty days [meaning: Pentecost]; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD." (Leviticus 23:16-17; cf. Acts 2:1, 20:16; 1 Cor. 16:8)

The "two wave loaves ... baken with leaven" picture the Jew and Gentile believers in the churches of this Age. Although saved we are still in the flesh and therefore still sinners which is symbolized by the "leaven." In Acts 2 we have the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Christ which was 50 days beforehand. On that day "Jews and proselytes" from at least 15 nations were assembled in Jerusalem (Acts 2:9-12) for the Feast when the Apostle Peter preached the death burial and resurrection of Christ to them (Acts 2:22-36). After his preaching 3,000 Jews and Gentiles repented, received Christ, and were added to the church by baptism (Acts 2:37-41). The "two wave loaves" of Jews and Gentiles are depicted in Ephesians in these words:

"Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, Who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us. ... Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone." (Ephesians 2:11-14, 19-20)   "Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." (Colossians 3:11)

This present Church Age, "The Dispensation of the Grace of God," has been in the process of fulfillment since the first coming and will continue till He returns for all the believers of this Age (Ephesians 3:1-7, cf. 1:10; 1 Cor. 9:17: Col. 1:25). Then "the things which shall be hereafter," as the Apostle John called them, will commence with the Rapture of all believers of our Dispensation (Revelation 1:19, 4:1).

"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The Rapture is typified by the Feast of Trumpets.

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Corinthians 15:51-54)

Church Age believers may not necessarily be raptured on the Feast of Trumpets, because the Lord Jesus told us:

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." (Matthew 25:13, cf. 24:36, 44, 50; Mark 13:32; Luke 21:, Acts 1:7, 1 Thess. 5:1-2)

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." (Luke 21:36) "For what saith the Scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." (Romans 4:3-5) "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every manís work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every manís work of what sort it is. If any manís work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any manís work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." (1 Corinthians 3:11-15) "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Corinthians 5:10) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

"For ... ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10) "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him." (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy [Daniel's] people [Israel]: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." (Daniel 12:1)

"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"" (Revelation 6:15-17)

The Tribulation will have a clearly marked beginning. It will begin when a world leader, the Antichrist, will confirm a covenant with many for one week of years (7 years), but in the middle of the week, at the 3 & 1/2 year point, he will break the covenant. The covenant will specify the re institution of Jewish Temple worship. The Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem and sacrifices and oblations will be offered to God. God's 2 witnesses, likely Moses and Elijah, will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ during the first 3 & 1/2 years. Antichrist will be given full reign over the world for the last 3 & 1/2 years. Then Christ will return and destroy him and his at Armageddon.

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." (Daniel 9:27; cf. Rev. 6:1-2)

"And there was given me [John the revelator] a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city [Jerusalem] shall they tread under foot forty and two months [3 & 1/2 years]. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days [3 & 1/2 years of 30 day months], clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth." (Revelation 11:1-4)

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except ... that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months [3 & 1/2 years]. ... And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear." (Revelation 13:5, 7-9)

"And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall PLACE the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done." (Daniel 11:31-36; cf. 12:11; Rev. 13:15-18)

"And to the woman [saved Israelis] were given two wings of a great eagle [perhaps help from saved renegade U.S. troops], that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place [Petra, Jordan], where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time [3 & 1/2 years], from the face of the serpent [Satan]. ... And the dragon [Satan] was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Revelation 12:14, 17)

"And [Antichrist's sidekick, the False Prophet] deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast [Antichrist]; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Revelation 13:14-18)

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains." (Matthew 24:15-16)

During just the first 1/2 of the 7 year Tribulation God will be allowing and directly causing great catastrophes upon the earth. Here are some examples:

1)   Early in the Tribulation Magog (Russia), Persia (Iran) and others will team up to attack Israel, but will be destroyed by God Himself (Ezek. 38, Rev. 6:4), and as the result many will come to know Christ as Saviour (Ezek. 38:23 - 39:7).
2)   Inflation will be so bad that it will take a days wages just to put food on the table for a day (Rev. 6:6).
3)   Revelation 6:8 says that the rider on the pale horse will have power over "... the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth." The 1st method of killing is conventional weapons, the 2nd is famine, the 3rd and 4th methods, "death, and with the beasts of the earth" are likely germ, chemical and other advanced weapons; and bio weaponry produced with Genetics, Robotics, Information technology and Nanotechnology (GRIN technology). Genetic enhanced animal / human monstrosities modified for military use by the New World Order's military industrial complex. They are already working on these weaponized creatures. These are likely alluding to the New World Order's stated plan to greatly reduce the population of the earth. It is also likely that there will be prison camps for the murder of the people much like the Nazis of WW II.
4)   Two objects will crash into the earth. One is described as, "a great mountain burning with fire" and the other as "a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp" (Revelation 8:8, 10). One of these will kill 1/3 of the sea life and destroy 1/3 of the ships at sea; and the other will poison 1/3 of fresh water on the earth (Rev. 8:8-11).
5)   "The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard ..." and "... the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days ..." (Isaiah 24:20, 30:26). "Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left." (Isaiah 24:6, cf. 24:1-5, 18-19, 30:1, 8-11, 33). "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the electís sake those days [the daylight hours, not the days of the 7 years] shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:21-22)
6)   Demonic creatures imprisoned in the bottomless pit since the Flood of Noah will be loosed to torment the lost (Rev. 9:1-11).
7)   At least 1/2 of earth's population will die during the first half of the 7 year Tribulation (Rev. 6:8, 9:15), and only a relatively small number of saved people will go into the Millennium (Matt. 25:31-46).

"And his [Christ's] feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south." (Zechariah 14:4)

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:1-6)

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatriceí den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. ... There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed." (Isaiah 11:6-9, 65:20)

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:7-10)

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." (2 Peter 3:8-14)

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. ..." (Revelation 21:3-5)

Judging from what has happened in the past, the 1st 3 feasts (Passover, Unleavened Bread & Firstfruits) having been fulfilled by Jesus Christ at His first coming; and 60 some odd years ago Israel becoming a nation again, being testified to by the sign of 4 blood moons in the heavens (a lunar tetrad) falling on the first and last of the 7 feasts; and likewise 40 some odd years ago when Israel regained control over her eternal capital, Jerusalem, again being attested to by 4 blood moons on the feast days; and now another tetrad, this time being accompanied by 2 solar eclipses.

There were total solar eclipses on the 1st day of the Jewish Nine Days of Mourning 3 years in a row from 2009 to 2011. The Nine Days of Mourning commemorate the destruction of both Temples on the 9th day of the Hebrew month of Ab (by the Babylonians in 586 BC & the Romans in 70 AD; plus many other horrendous events have occurred on this date of the Hebrew calender). The 1st of Ab fell on August 1, 2008, July 22, 2009 and July 11, 2010.

Those signs plus the coming of 2 comets simultaneously, Elenin and Honda, with astronomical events on the Feast of Trumpets, the Feast of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles in 2011; and Comet ISON reaching it's closest point to the Sun on Hanukkah in 2013 which speaks to the cleansing of the Temple which for the first time ever, an Israeli Government official has expressed in 2013 a desire to rebuild. All these verifiable events are indicators that the last three feasts (Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles) will likewise be fulfilled. Likely soon.

The 2 lunar tetrads that began in 1949 and 1967 marked the 2 most important periods of Israel's modern history. The one that began in 2014 will likely punctuate another significant prophetic event for Israel and perhaps the world. It may be signaling the soon to begin Tribulation!

In the Lord's last week before His death He said this in Matthew 24:32-44:

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree [Israel: cf. Hosea 9:10; Joel 1:1-7]; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
