INTRODUCTION:

Acts 2:19-21: "And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.." (cf. Joel 2:30-31)

Luke 21:25, 28: "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ... And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

Above is a time laps photo of the 1st eclipse of the last tetrad (4 blood moons in a row) for 549 years. There have been 56 tetrads since Christ's day. This is the last of 8 that fell on the first and last of the 7 "feasts of the LORD" (Lev. 23:4; cf. Gen 1:14). During the last tetrad like this Israel won their Capitol, Jerusalem, back from the Islamic Arabs (Ps. 83:1-8). The one before that is when Israel became a nation again after 1,878 years. The Bible prophesies in many places that Israel would return to the Land, before Christ 2nd coming. All this and other Biblical prophecies that are now being fulfilled are signs of the last days. The 7 year Tribulation is soon to come. When? No one knows, but in this generation (Matt. 24:32-36; cf. Hos. 9:10; Joel 1:7). Make sure 1) that you are saved, and 2) that you are serving the Lord (1 John 2:28; 1 Cor. 3:11-15). Tell others about Jesus Christ, go to church, do right, love not the world.

The Meanings of The Words "SEASONS" & "SIGNS" in The Bible:

1. The basic meaning of the Hebrew word translated “seasons” in Genesis 1:14 and Leviticus 23:4 (top of page) is “set time” or “time appointed” and it is translated as such (examples below). In Leviticus 23:4 it is translated both as "feasts" and "seasons" in the same verse.

Psalms 104:19: "He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down." (cf. Exodus 13:10; Numbers 9:2-3, 7, 9:7, 13, 28:2; Deuteronomy 16:6; 1 Chronicles 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4, 8:13, 31:3; Ezra 3:5; Nehemiah 10:33; Ezekiel 45:17; Isaiah 1:14; Hosea 2:11)

Daniel 11:35: "And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. (cf. Genesis 18:14; Exodus 23:15; Joshua 8:14; 1 Samuel 20:35; Jeremiah 46:17; Daniel 8:19, 11:27, 29)

Psalms 102:13: "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come." (cf. Genesis 17:21, 21:2; Exodus 9:5; 1 Samuel 13:8; 2 Samuel 20:5)

2. The Hebrew word translated "signs" in Genesis 1:14 (see top left of page) is found in 77 verses of the Old Testament. It is also translated "mark" (Gen. 4:15), "token" (Numbers 17:10), "ensign" (Numbers 2:2), and "miracles" (Numbers 14:22). It can be a man made banner or ensign, natural phenomenon such as a rainbow or miraculous signs. It is a signal, a distinguishing mark, a warning, or proof of something; it is one thing that points to or signifies something else.

Genesis 9:13: "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth."

Genesis 17:11: "And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you."

Exodus 4:8-9: "And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign [a rod that turned to a serpent], that they will believe the voice of the latter sign [Moses' hand that turned white]. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land."

Exodus 7:3: "And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt."

Exodus 12:13: "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt."

Jeremiah 10:2: "Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them." (cf. Ps. 65:8)

Signs in The Sun, Moon & Stars Coinciding With The Feast Days:

Back in 2011 I heard about this astronomical phenomenon called a tetrad. A tetrad is when there are 4 total lunar eclipses in a row. I saw a video by Prophecy in the News about this, and researched it and found that there had been 7 tetrads since the time of Christ that fell on the first and last of the “feasts of the LORD” of Leviticus 23, that is, Passover and Tabernacles. I checked it out on the NASA website and against the Hebrew calendar, and found that it was true. The 3 years before that (2008, 2009 & 2010) there were solar eclipses during the Jewish Days of Mourning that commemorate the destruction of the Temple in 586 BC and 70 AD. I also checked out eclipses that fell on Purim. All lunar eclipses that fell in March during the 20th Century fell on Purim or Passover. Furthermore, in 2011 two comets flew by during the feasts of Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. All this was and still is absolutely wonderful to me, especially in light of the Scriptures!

2011 Comets Elenin & Honda:

Comets Elenin and Honda flew by in 2011. They are interesting Biblically because important points of their fly by coincided with the last 3 of the 7 feasts of the LORD.

1. Earth, Elenin, the Sun, and Mercury were in alignment on September 28 and 29 (see graphic at right). From the evening of 28 September to the evening of the 29th was the Biblical Feast of Trumpets, a foreshadowing of the Rapture (Leviticus 23:23-25; cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52). Furthermore, the 66th session of the United Nations General Assembly was in session from September 28th to 30th. They discussed whether to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state. The Bible gives this parting of the Land of Israel as a reason for God's judgment on the nations during the 7 year Tribulation. In the Book of the Prophet Joel God states:

Joel 3:2: "I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land."

2. When Elenin and Honda (see graphic above) became visible together on the night of 7 October it was the beginning of the Feast of Atonement, a picture of the 7 year Tribulation (Leviticus 23:26-32; cf. Daniel 9:27, 12:1; Matthew 24:21). Could these 2 comets have been a picture of God's 2 Hebrew witnesses during the first half of the Tribulation? God had the Apostle John to write:

Revelation 11:3-4: "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth."

3. Elenin was closest to the Earth at 21 million miles (7 + 7 + 7 = 21) on on October 16, 17 & 18, (see graphic to the right). This was during the Feast of Tabernacles, a type of the Millennial reign of Christ, and the eternal state after that (Leviticus 23:33-43; cf. Revelation 20:1-6, 21:1-7).

Solar Eclipses During The Jewish Days of Mourning:

The 9th of Av on the Jewish calendar is a day of fasting and mourning for the destruction of both Temples, first by the Babylonians in 586 B.C (9th of Av), and again by the Romans in 70 AD (9th of Av). The Jews still observe 21 days of mourning from 17 Tammuz to 9 Av in commemoration of the Roman General Titus' breach of the outer walls of Jerusalem on 17 Tammuz, and his order on the 9th of Av to leveled the Temple to the ground (4 Aug 70 AD). The Nine Days are the darkest days on the Jewish calendar. They are the final 9 days of the days of mourning. There were total solar eclipses for 3 years straight on the first day of the Nine Days on the 1st of Av in 2008, 2009 and 2010 as follows:

August 1, 2008 was the 1st of Av 5768. This Biblical day began at sunset on August 1st and ended at sunset on the 2nd.
July 22, 2009 was the 1st of Av 5769. Day began at sundown on July 21st and ended at sundown on the 22nd.
July 11, 2010 was the 1st of Av 5770. Day began at sunset, July 11th and ended at sunset on the 12th.

Eclipses on the Feast of Purim:

In the book of Esther after Ahasuerus, King of Persia, had given command that the Jews should defend themselves against wicked Haman's Holocaust plot to destroy them, and thus they were able to defeat their enemies. Since those days till now they have celebrated Purim (Esther 9:15-19).

Here it is important to note that self defence is a natural right. It was on May 15, 1948, after Israel had declared her independence that she again exercized this natural right when several Arab nations attacked her. During 2 of the 5 lunar tetrads that fell on the first and last of the feast of the LORD during the 20th Century (1949-50 &1967-68) Israel was exercising this natural right. It was during the 20th Century that Israel was re-established as a Nation after 1,878 years of exile from their land, and in 1967 she regained her Capital, Jerusalem. Both times Israel was attacked first and Israel fought and gained more land. I take this as a prophetic sign in the heavens of God's protection of Israel.

On 8 March, 2012 (which was the 1st of the 2 days of Purim) while verifying the 2 tetrads that fell on the feast days in the 20th Century at the NASA web site, I noticed that Purim frequently fell in March. I became curious and checked every time there was a lunar eclipse in March during the 20th Century. There were 21 eclipses in March during the 20th Century that fell on Purim (7 + 7 + 7 = 21). There were 2 eclipses in 1904, one on Purim and the other on Passover. They were the 7th and 8th lunar eclipses of the 20th Century.

It finally dawned on me that the dates of Purim, Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Tabernacles all follow the lunar calendar established by God for Israel, and fall on the 14th or 15th of their respective months which is when the moon is full and lunar eclipses naturally fall in accordance with God's astronomical clockwork. It is only at this time when it is possible for the earth to come between the sun and moon causing an eclipse.

THE LAST 2 TETRADS:

The last 2 of the 7 tetrads have very strong prophetic significance. Namely, the Tetrad of 1949/50 and the Tetrad of 1967/68.

Remember, Passover and Tabernacles are the 1st and last of the 7 “feasts of the LORD.”

After 1,878 years of exile from the Land, Israel was reestablished as a nation on May 14, 1948. There was a lunar eclipse on Passover just 21 days (7 + 7 + 7 = 21) before Israel declared Independence, and there was another eclipse on the Feast of Tabernacles on October 18, 1948, but neither were total eclipses.

However, just 3 days after the War of Independence ended was Passover (April 13, 1949) and a total lunar eclipse (blood moon) and another blood moon on Tabernacles (October 7, 1949); and the same thing again in 1950 on Passover (April 2, 1950) and Tabernacles (September 26, 1950).

Likewise, another tetrad began just 45 days before Israel regained her capital, Jerusalem, on June 7, 1967 during the Six Day War. On Passover (April 24, 1967) there was a blood Moon, and again on the Feast of Tabernacles (October 18, 1967); and 2 more total eclipses in 1968 on Passover (April 13, 1968) and on Tabernacles (October 6, 1968).

COMET ISON’S ARRIVAL ON HANUKKAH IN NOVEMBER 2013:

Comet ISON was at its closes point to the Sun (perihelion) on Hanukkah, November 28, 2013. It was an extremely bright comet with a very long tail.

Hanukkah is an eight-day festival commemorating the victory in 165 BC of the Maccabees over Antiochus IV Epiphanes (215-164 B.C.) and the rededication of the Temple at Jerusalem. Antiochus (a type of Antichrist) had set an image of Zeus in the Temple, offered swine upon the altar, and proclaimed himself to be God. The Prophet Daniel prophesied of Antiochus in Daniel 8, and the Prophet Haggai gave the date of the yet future feast (Haggai 2:10-22). Hanukkah is called “the feast of the dedication” in John 10:22.

It is very interesting that at the end of WW I on November 2, 1917 the British issue the Balfour Declaration supporting a Jewish Homeland, and then on Hanukkah of that year (9 December) British General Edmund Allenby liberated Jerusalem from the Ottoman Turks without firing a shot by dropping surrender leaflets on the city from biplanes never before seen by the Ottoman’s fulfilling Isaiah 31:5 to the letter. It has been said that WW I prepared the Land for the Israelites and WW II prepared the Israelites for the Land.

Isaiah 31:5: “As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

AN 8TH TETRAD IN 2014-2015 ACCOMPANIED BY SOLOR ECLIPSES:

Eight is the number of new beginnings (2 Peter 2:5).

There have been 7 tetrads since Christ’s 1st coming that fell on "the feasts of the LORD” (Leviticus 23:2, 4, 37, 44). There is an 8th coming up in 2014/15 and then no more for 549 years. This Tetrad will also be accompanied by 2 solar eclipses. Here is the breakdown for the upcoming Tetrad of 2014/15 and the solar eclipses:

April 15, 2014 -- Feast 1: Passover -- Total Lunar Eclipse (Nisan 14, 5774)

October 8, 2014 -- Feast 7: Tabernacles -- Total Lunar Eclipse (Tishrei 14, 5775)

March 20, 2015 -- New Year for Feast Days -- Total Solar Eclipse (Nisan 1, 5775)

April 4, 2015 -- Feast 1: Passover -- Total Lunar Eclipse (Nisan 14, 5775)

September 13, 2015 -- Feast 5: Trumpets (Civil New Year) -- Partial Solar Eclipse (5775 ends & 5776 begins on Tishri 1)

September 28, 2015 -- Feast 7: Tabernacles -- Total Lunar Eclipse (Tishrei 14, 5776)

Every 7th year on 1 Tishri is the day of release (Shemittah). It begins on the 1st day of the new Sabbatical Year or seven year cycle. Personal debts are considered forgiven as of the end of this 7th year (Leviticus 25; Exodus 23:10-11; Deuteronomy 15:1-9, 31:10-11). The Shemittah begins on the Feast of Trumpets which is also the 1st day of the New Civil Year (See September 13, 2015 above). The last 2 Shemittahs, September 17, 2001 (7 days after 9/11), and September 29, 2008 saw the greatest one day Dow Jones stock market drops in history up to those points. That day in 2001 it lost 684.81 points (7%), and in 2008 it lost 777.68 points (7%). Wonder what the 2015 Shemittah holds in store?! Here is a list of the top 10 largest one-day point declines of Dow Jones Industrial Average [DJIA] ever:

DATES IN RED ARE BIBLICAL FEAST OR FAST DAYS

Matthew 24:36: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

Acts 1:7: "And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power."

Matthew 25:13: "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

Note that 8 is the number of “new beginnings” (1 Peter 3:20; Genesis 17:12; Acts 7:8; Deuteronomy 30:6; Ezekiel 11:19, 36:26; Romans 2:28-29; Colossians 2:11; John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5).

So what do we do in the mean while?

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD. Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20)

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:13)

Below are several graphics with astronomical, historic and mathematical information on the tetrads.

MEANINGS OF BIBLICAL NUMBERS USED IN NOTE 3 ABOVE
Five is the Biblical number of grace.
Six is the Biblical number signifying man.

Seven is the Biblical number of completion.
Eight is the Biblical number of new beginnings.

CONCLUSION:

Psalms 33:6: "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." (cf. Psalms 8:3, 115:16)

The Lord's Last Days Before His Death:

The Lord Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem on the 10th of Nisan which was the day that the Jews were to select their Passover lambs to be killed and eaten on the 14th (Exodus 12:2-6). It was the first day of the week and the very last day of the Prophet Daniel's prophecy of 69 weeks. On that day the Lord Jesus was received by many as King fulfilling both Daniel 9:25-26 and Zechariah 9:9. It began the Lord's last few days before His crucifixion for our sins. uring these last few days the Lord picked up where Daniel left off giving additional prophetic truth concerning the last days of the Church Age, the Rapture, 7 year Tribulation and His second coming. Luke writes that "... in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives." (Luke 21:37, cf. 19:47, 21:38)

"And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?" (Mark 13:1-4)

A similar question was asked of the Lord at least one more time and His answer is recorded 2 additional times in the Bible as follows:

Luke 21:5-7: "And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, 6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?"

Matthew 24:1-3: "And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

The apostles Peter, James, John and Andrew asked, "... when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?" (Mark 13:4). The Lord answers the question of "when" in these words, "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man ..." (Mark 13:32). They had likely heard the Lord's discourse in the Temple that is recorded in Luke 21 and desired more detail which the Lord provided. The Lord's first prophetic discourse was in the Temple (Luke 21), and later on the Mount of Olives (Mark 13). He prophesied at least twice that the Temple would be destroyed (Luke 21:6; Mark 13:2; cf. Matthew 23:38, 24:2). This was fulfilled in 70 AD by the Roman General Titus.

The Lord's Command to Watch:

However, in Matthew 24:3 a much more detailed question is recorded from unidentified disciples. They asked, "... Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Again Jesus answers the question of "when" in the same way He did in Mark, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man ..." (Matthew 24:36; cf. 24:50, 25:13). So we of this Church Age clearly cannot know the day, hour or even the seasons of Christ's coming this side of the Rapture (Acts 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:1). This fact, however, does not negate the Lord's command to watch.

Matthew 24:42-43: "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up."

Matthew 25:13: "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

Mark 13:33-37: "Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

Luke 21:36: "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

So why are we to WATCH? Watching should increase our motivation to do the work of warning and witnessing for the Lord!

1. Work:

Revelation 22:12: "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

1 Peter 1:17: "And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear."

Hebrews 13:20-21: "Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

2 Timothy 2:19, 21: "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. ... If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work."

1 Corinthians 3:11-15: "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." (cf. "the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Cor. 1:8, 5:5; 2 Cor. 1:14; Phil. 1:6, 10, 2:16; 2 Thess. 2:2)

2. Witness:

Proverbs 11:30: "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."

Mark 1:17: "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men."

Philippians 2:16: "Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain."

Acts 1:8: "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Psalm 126:5-6: "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."

3. Warn:

Acts 20:31: "Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears."

Colossians 1:27-28: "... Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus."

1 Thessalonians 5:14: "Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly ..."

So the reason the Lord Jesus commanded believers to "WATCH" is clear! It is to motivate us to do the work of warning, witnessing and winning souls to Jesus Christ.

However, the command to "WATCH" begs the question, Watch for what? The answer to this question is in the original question, to wit: "... what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matthew 24:3; cf. Mark 13:4; Luke 21:7). They asked for "the sign," but the Lord gave them several signs. We are to be watching for the signs that Jesus gave us.

The Signs That Jesus Gave Concerning His Coming:

We have already noted the first sign that the Lord Jesus gave. It was that the Temple would be destroyed. The Temple was destroyed on the 9th of Av (July / August) in 70 AD.

The most important sign that the Lord gave was the parable of the Fig Tree!

Matthew 24:32-34: "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Luke 21:29-32: "And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled."

The fig tree is a type of the Nation of Israel (Hosea 9:10; Joel 1:7, 2:22; Jeremiah 8:13). Israel was reestablished on May 14, 1948. The additional trees in Luke 21:29 would include the EU, which had its embryonic beginning that year, the Organization of American States, the 2 Chinas, North and South Korea, India and Burma gained independence from England, Vietnam from France, and the Marshall Plan to aid in rebuilding 16 nations of Europe after WW II was signed by President Truman on April 3, 1948. The Lord's prophecy will be fulfilled within the generation that saw it begin. Psalm 90:10 indicates that a generation is 70 to 80 years, but someone who saw Israel return will still be alive when Christ returns. We do not know the hour, day, or season, but we do know the generation that Christ will return. We are now in it!

Another important sign of Christ's return is the beginning of sorrows:

Matthew 24:4-8: "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows." (cf. Mark 13:5-8)

The first mention of sorrow in the Bible is in Genesis 3:16 where God is speaking to Eve after she sinned: "... I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children ..." The beginning of sorrows that Jesus speaks of are false christs, commotions, wars and rumours of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, fearful sights, and great signs from heaven. All these have been simultaneously increasing in frequency and intensity as a woman about to be delivered of her child since 1948 when Israel was re-established as a nation.

The parallel passage to Matthew 24:4-8 and Mark 13:5-8 in Luke follows:

Luke 21:8-11, 25: "And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. 9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. ... 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ... 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

All these and other pre-Tribulation signs have already begun to come to pass and will continue on into the Tribulation as is indicated in Revelation 6. The other "signs" of the Olivet and Temple discourses of the Lord Jesus are: hatred and persecution of believers, and offense and betrayal (Matt. 24:9-10; Mk. 13:9, 12; Lk. 21:12, 16-17), many false prophets (Matt. 24:11), abounding iniquity that is causing the love of many to grow cold (Matt. 24:12), the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom for a witness to all nations (Matt. 24:14; Mk. 13:10), and business as usual complacency as was in the days of Noah just before the flood (Matt. 24:37-38). The last sign of the Church Age will be the Rapture of all believers of this Age to the Judgment Seat of Christ (Matt. 24:40-44; Rev. 4:1; 2 Cor. 5:10-11; 1 Cor. 3:11-15).

Incorrect Interpretation of Joel 2:28-32:

Brethren, even some with whom I agree with doctrinally on most issues, in their zeal to denounce some heretics that have put forth this teaching of signs in the sun, moon and stars, have misinterpreted the Scriptures on the issue to denounce the false teachers. Hopefully they have not intentionally twisted God's word in their zeal, but they are wrong nonetheless.

Joel 2:28-32: "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

Part of the confusion may come from the fact that earlier in the chapter in Joel 2:10 it says, "the sun and the moon shall be dark." Here it is definitely speaking of the Tribulation, because it says that it is "the day of the LORD" (Joel 2:1, 11). Another possible point of confusion is where it says, "And it shall come to pass afterward ..." (v. 28) just before speaking of God's "wonders in the heavens" (v. 30) and the sun being "turned into darkness, and the moon into blood" (v. 31)

However, the sun and moon of Joel 2:10 and the sun and moon of Joel 2:31 are at different time periods. And where it says, "And it shall come to pass afterward ..." (v. 28) definitely does not refer to after "the day of the LORD" (Joel 2:11), but after Joel's time. Allow the Apostle Peter to interpret Joel 2:28-32 for us. Here is part of what he preached on the day of Pentecost:

Acts 2:16-21: "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Joel 2:28-32 and Acts 2:16-21 are both speaking of the last days. Let Peter further explain:

2 Peter 3:8-13: "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." (cf. Rev. 20:7-9, 21:1, 5)

The "last days" that Peter is speaking of in Acts 2:17 are the last 3,000 years of God's 7,000 year week. It covers the Church Age, the Dispensation of Grace and the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ upon this earth.

Hosea 6:2: "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

Hebrews 1:1-3: "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

Isaiah 2:2: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it." (cf. Micah 4:1)

2 Peter 3:3-5: "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant ..."

2 Timothy 3:1: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

At the beginning of this Dispensation the Lord established His church during His earthly sojourn with His apostles (1 Cor. 12:28; Mark 3:13-18) and on the day of Pentecost the Lord Jesus began His work of baptizing believers with the Holy Ghost (Jn. 1:29-34, 14:16-17, 26; Lk. 3:16, 24:49; Acts 1:4-5, 8, 2:33, 39; 1 Cor 12:7, 11, 13). In Acts 2:16-20 God began pouring out His Spirit and giving spiritual gifts to believers to use in Christ's service, and toward the end of this Age "BEFORE that great and notable day of the Lord come" the Bible says, "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood" (Acts 2:20). This is what the Bible clearly teaches, and it is what is happening with the 2014 - 2015 lunar and solar eclipses. This is normal 1st century language for natural solar and lunar eclipses. The text does not say that "the day of the Lord" will begin with these eclipses, but that they will occur "before that great and notable day of the Lord come."

Are you watching the signs? Are you telling people that Jesus is coming soon, and sometime after that the Tribulation will begin? Are you witnessing and warning people?!

Israel has been back in the Land since 1948. They got their capital, Jerusalem, back in 1967. Just recently Israeli government officials have begun discussing building the Temple on the Temple Mount. Levites have been identified by DNA testing and have already been trained for Temple service. We are 66 years into the generation that saw the sign of the fig tree fulfilled. We are very close to the Rapture.

The Lord rebuked the unbelieving Sadducees and Pharisees for not recognizing that Daniel's prophecy of 69 weeks was being fulfilled (Dan. 9:24-26), and that He was the prophet like unto Moses that they were to be looking for (Deut. 18:15, 18; Acts 3:22, 7:37), and because they did not recognize Jesus by the many miracles that He did. The Lord spake these words to them, not as much because they asked for a sign from heaven as because they did not believe the signs they had that proved that He was the Messiah:

Matthew 16:1-4: "The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."

We now have numerous signs, many more than the Pharisees and Sadducees had, that the Lord, His apostles and the prophets gave us. Let's not ignore them!

Titus 2:11-14: "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

Philippians 3:20-21: "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

1 John 2:28-3:2: "And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

2 Timothy 4:8: "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

God's First Bible:

Psalm 19:1-6: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."

Psalms 147:4-5: "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite." (cf. Isaiah 40:26)

"A hundred years ago, a number of French skeptics, gathered together a collection of all the numerous ancient mythologies of various peoples of the world, and demonstrated that these showed a remarkable and astounding correspondence to the teachings concerning Christ and his salvation. They said that since these mythologies - which often involve interpretations of the constellations of the zodiac - very clearly long antedate the [Bible] and the coming of Christ into the world, it was obvious to them Christianity was … borrow[ed] from pagan mythology, dressed up in Hebrew dress and pawned off on a credulous world. … [However] none of the skeptics were able to tell whence came these ancient mythologies, and particularly this understanding of the zodiac - constellations of the sky. Where did these signs come from? These scholars discovered that their antiquity cannot be ascertained; no matter how far back we go, they are always still there! ... According to Arabic tradition, the signs came from Seth; and [Enos]. This tradition is interesting since it links these signs to the grandson of Adam and says that [Enos] and his father Seth (both men of faith) were the founders of this ancient understanding of the heavens. … Therefore, from the very beginning, God has given a story of salvation from which have come most of the ancient mythologies and ancient traditions. The signs [of the zodiac] are describing the salvation that would be wrought by Christ, and was given by God to Adam in the Garden of Eden." Jeremiah 31:35-36: "Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever."

Amos 5:7-8: "Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth, Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name ..."

Job 9:2, 7-9: "I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? ... 7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. 8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. 9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south."

Job 38:31-33: "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?"

We have seen the regularity of God's clockwork in the heavens. We have seen important historical events occurring in connection with the Lord's signs in the sky.

DOCTRINAL DISCLAIMER:

We believe both the discoverer of the astronomical sign of tetrads falling on the Biblical feast days, Mark Biltz, and the one who popularized it, John Hagee, are in great doctrinal error. Biltz, because of his Hebrew Roots heresy, and Hagee because of his dual salvation heresy. However, the errors of these two false teachers do not change the fact that the tetrads falling on the feasts are a Biblical end time sign. Below is a video presention refuting Hagee's error, and then an article refuting Biltz.

John 14:6: "Jesus saith ..., I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

Acts 4:12: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

John 3:16, 36: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ... He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

THE HEBREW ROOTS HERESY OF MARK BILTZ

Mark Biltz identifies with the "Hebrew Roots Movement" which is anti-Christian.  This Movement is similar to other "works" cults such as Seven Day Adventism, and Worldwide Church of God, etc.  It is a cult movement for the following reasons.

1. It seeks to put people back under the law of Moses after the Lord Jesus has completely fulfilled the Law. Biltz endorses the Movement's belief that Sabbath worship is a legal requirement.
[
1]  This in spite of the fact that we see Jesus entering Jerusalem and being received as King on the first day of the week before He was crucified (Dan. 9:25; Jn. 12:12, 15; Lk. 19:38; Matt. 21:5), and eight days later on the day of His resurrection on "the first day of the week" meeting with His Church (Jn. 20:19), and "eight days" after that meeting with His Church again (Jn. 20:26), and the apostles preaching on Pentecost, which is "the morrow after the sabbath" (Lev. 23:15-16; Acts 2), and the disciples meeting to break bread and hear Paul preach on "the first day of the week" (Acts 20:7), and church giving on "the first day of the week" (1 Cor. 16:1-2). This question of keeping the Law for salvation was settled very early in Church History (Acts 15:1-29), and the Apostle Paul thoroughly refuted the false teaching.

Colossians 2:16-17:  "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

In reality, prophetically speaking, the Sabbath is a type of the 1,000 year reign of Christ; while the 1st Day of the week (or 8th Day) points to eternity that follows the 1,000 year Sabbath.

2 Peter 3:8-10:  "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (cf. Ps. 90:4)

Keeping The Law Does Not Save; The Lord Jesus Christ Does:

Romans 3:19-22:  "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe ..."

Galatians 2:16:  "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

Romans 10:4:  "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." (cf. Eph. 2:15)

Galatians 3:23-25:  "But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.  24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.  26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

2.  The sub-title of Mark Biltz's book entitled Blood Moons is "Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs." The word "decoding" here suggests involvement in Kabbalah. On his website Biltz speaks of a book by Rabbi Moshe Braun entitled, The Jewish Holy Days: Their Spiritual Significance that he read. From reading it Biltz "... became a passionate student of literature written from a Jewish mindset ..."
[2]  A review of this book states, "Moshe Braun has chosen the chasidic masters who have revealed, illuminated, and clarified the deep secrets and symbolism of the Torah. They base their teachings on the Kabbalah, which contains the innermost secrets of one's relationship with God, Creation, and the meaning of Torah verses." [3]  The mysticism of Kabbalah was developed within Judaism. It is leaven that has corrupted many, Jew and Gentile alike.  It claims to form the foundations of mystical religious interpretation to attain spiritual realization.  It is therefore, compatible with the teachings of occultism and the New Age Movement of today.  Kabbalah teaches that the full message of the Bible cannot be found in the plain text, but that one must search under the surface with Kabbalah techniques to find the real meaning of the Bible.  The authority of Kabbalah claims ancient authorship. It's texts on esoteric knowledge of divination and astrology are said to have been given to men in the ancient past by angels who fell from heaven (Gen. 6:4).  Kabbalah is "occult" that is, secret and available only to the initiated; and  "esoteric" which is defined as "Intended for or understood by only a particular group; Confined to a small group; Not publicly disclosed; confidential."  God's word is neither secret nor confidential!  It needs no decoding, nor is the understanding of it limited to a special class, as is taught in some religions and secret societies.  God gave us His word to show us the way to God.  God's truth of salvation in Jesus Christ is on the very surface for all to find (Jn. 3:16, 36; Rom. 3:23, 6:23, 10:9-10).  After that it is like a diamond field, some things are on the surface and others you have to dig for, but the things that God has for His people are all in the surface text (Deut. 27:8; Hab 2:2; 1 Cor. 14:19; 2 Cor. 3:12).

John 5:39:  "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (cf. 2 Tim. 2:15; Acts 17:11)

Isaiah 28:9-10:  "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little."

2 Corinthians 2:11-13:  "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."

Deuteronomy 18:10-12:  "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,  or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee."

Amos 5:26-27:  "But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.  Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts." (cf. Acts 7:42-43; Deut. 4:19, 17:3; 2 Kings 21:3, 23:5; Jer. 8:1-2, 44:17-19)

Isaiah 8:19-20:  "And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?  To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

3. Why any believer would want to identify with the Hebrew Roots Movement which denies parts of God's word is beyond me, but it denies the 13 or 14 letters of the Apostle Paul in the 66 books of the Bible. This lie of necessity also denies what the first pastor, after Jesus, of Christ's first Church said. The Apostle Peter wrote that Paul's writings are Scripture.

2 Peter 3:15-16: "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." (cf. Deut. 4:2; Rev. 22:19)

4. Biltz, as others in the Hebrew Roots Movement, has no desire to fulfill the Lord Jesus' Biblical mandate to witness, win souls, baptize believers, and teach God's word.  He has stated, "We do not want to convert Jews to Christianity or Christians to Judaism."
[4]  However, the Lord Jesus Christ stated the following:

John 20:19-23:  "Then the same day [of His resurrection] at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:  23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained."

Mark 16:15-16:  "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creatureHe that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (cf. Jn. 3:36)

Luke 24:46-47:  "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

Acts 1:8:  "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Matthew 28:19-20:  "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
