Brother J. R. Church, founder and director of the Prophecy in the News, in studying the number 666 developed a gematria system for the English alphabet based on the ancient Sumerian civilization's method of calculating. The Sumerian system was based on a root of six as opposed to ten. It is believed that the Sumerian civilization is the most ancient and their system of counting the very first. The Sumerian system can still be seen in our use of the foot (12 inches = 2 x 6) and yard (36 inches = 6 x 6) and in our sexagesimal measurement of time (60 seconds, 60 minuets, 24 hours = 4 x 6).
The Biblical languages of Hebrew and Koine Greek and other ancient languages used the letters of their alphabets for numbers also. Applying this fact and the Sumerian numbering system Brother Church developed an English gematria based on increments of six by adding 6 to each letter of our alphabet (i.e. A = 6, B = 12, C = 18, D = 24, E = 30, etc). To use such a system to "count the number of the beast" is called gematria.
HEBREW
Gematria is a system for calculating the numerical equivalence of letters, words, and phrases. This system is used to gain insight into interrelation of different concepts and exploring the interrelationship between words and ideas. Gematria can be used as an evidence to back up established Biblical doctrine, and to gain insight into Bible interpretations by looking for words and phrases with the same values.
GENETICIST = 666 (Judas Iscariot is called "the son of perdition" (John 17:12) as is the Antichrist (2 Thess 2:3). The Bible says, "... Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place" (Acts 1:25). I believe his own place is the "bottomless pit" from whence he will ascend. Revelation says: "The beast [Antichrist] ... was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is." (Rev 17:8) Jude wrote that "... Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil ... disputed about the body of Moses ..." (Jude 9). The Bible says that God Himself buried Moses and "... no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day" (Deut 34:5-6). I believe that Satan wanted Moses' body for the genetic material in order to clone him back up, so God hid his body. However, God will allow the devil to clone Judas. Of course Iscariot's soul will continue to burn in Hell, but his genetic material will be or has been used by Satan, the geneticist, to clone the Antichrist. Death will keep his soul, but not his body, at least until he goes back into predition, because Judas "... was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition.")

(In the Bible the number 8 is identified with resurrection, regeneration and new beginnings. An 8 laid sideways is the symbol for infinity.)
